Jaclyn Virgin

Jaclyn Virgin is an Indianapolis native. In 2003 she received her BFA from Butler University in Dance Performance. Immediately following, she became a member of Dance Kaleidoscope – Professional Modern Dance Company in Indianapolis, IN. As well as a Green Show Dancer for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland Oregon. In 2006 she began to blossom her teaching/choreography career. She has been teaching classical modern, ballet, jazz, and is a certified yoga instructor since 2008. She has been a guest choreographer for various companies such as Dance Kaleidoscope, Motus Dance Theatre, and Kenyetta Dance Company. She was on faculty at Jordan Academy of Dance where she taught ballet, modern, and jazz and was Associate Director to the Jordan Dance Ensemble. In 2008 she founded the (RE)Collective Company that involved live music and dance. Jaclyn has also choreographed and assisted with local Color Guards at Carmel, HS, Lawrence Central HS and Greenwood HS. Jaclyn is currently a dance adjunct faculty member for Butler University’s Non Major Dance Classes and excited to be on board with Ballet Theatre of Carmel at Performer’s Edge as the contemporary dance instructor.
